This year, the Motor City Striders celebrate the 29th year of road racing in Huntington Woods.  Since the beginning in 1980, races of 1, 2, 3 and 4 miles- as well as the 5K and 10K distances- have pounded the city streets.  Fields ranging from under 100 to over 29,000 (Race for the Cure) have made their way to these events.  This year, the club’s one race in the city will again feature “new” classic T-shirts to all entrants.  Following the racing, everyone is invited to the club’s annual picnic with food, fun, and children’s races, with prizes for all.
