Dear Strider-
Thank you for joining us in running and racing in 2011. This year we celebrate the 53rd year in which the Striders have promoted health and fitness through long distance running. The very first race held by the club was a five-mile event on Belle Isle on June 11, 1959. In the years since that first event, the club has conducted over a thousand other races.
Join us- volunteers are needed more than ever, so we hope you can join us as we celebrate our 53rd year on the roads!

The 2011 Motor City Strider annual meeting will be held on Wednesday, December 14 at 6:00 p.m. in the Huntington Woods Library. Join us for some pre-meeting pizza and holiday refreshments. The business meeting will begin at 6:30.
Members who wish to qualify for the Club Champion awards should send in a list of races for this year, including your finish place and time. Please send the list by Tuesday, December 6.
